CIRTT’s work is based on project principles, enabling us to fund research, development and innovation from external sources as well.
The Center currently carries out the following projects:


  • EIT Health Hub, network of best-in-class health innovators backed by the EU. The Supervisory Board of EIT Health InnoStars has approved the selection of the University of Zagreb as a new EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) hub, which has joined the EIT Health network to work alongside the existing network of ten (now thirteen) regional hubs in implementing the EIT Health Regional Innovation Scheme .
  • EIT Manufacturing  is one of 9 innovation communities of European Institute for Innovation and Technology. EIT Manufacturing’s mission is to bring European manufacturing actors together in innovation ecosystems that add unique value to European products, processes, services – and inspire the creation of globally competitive and sustainable manufacturing.
  • EIT Climate KIC Hub, part of the Regional Innovation Scheme (EIT RIS) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT RIS). The project is implemented in cooperation with the Regional Energy Agency of Northwestern Croatia (REGEA), the Terra Hub, the Green Energy Cooperative, the Faculty of Geotechnics of Varaždin University of Zagreb, the Zagreb Innovation Center and the Knowledge Network.
  • PoC – The Proof of Concept progamme is implemented within the framework of the Croatian Science and Technology Project II, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Education (MZO) and the World Bank. The implementation of the Program was awarded to the Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investment (HAMAG-BICRO).
