Short summary (English)

The main objective of the Department of Urban Transport is to qualify and to promote highly educated experts capable of solving problems in the field of urban traffic and transport through it’s educational and research activities. Our ultimate goal is to improve transportation systems and make them more sustainable. Research priorities for the Department include: • Transport modeling • Traffic Control • Traffic Safety • Cost-benefit Analysis in Transport • Development strategy of urban and suburban transport • City logistics • Projects related to non-motorized traffic • Traffic and technological projects of urban public transport • Projects of parking strategy, lots and garages • Projects of concept, stations and stops of urban public transport Due to interdisciplinarity of urban transport and traffic, the Department is a place of integrated knowledge from various fields of transport, accomplished by cooperation with other stakeholders. Department has relationships with a number of public transport operators, city Departments, well known research institutions, and universities in Europe. Our members publish their research in scientific journals, and to present it in both national and international conferences.

Short summary (Croatian)
