Short summary (English)

At the Chair for Ship Design and Offshore Engineering, research is carried out on specialized and sophisticated vessels and their optimization. A lot of effort has been put into developing offshore engineering research for the purpose of the exploration and exploitation of the seabed. The Chair cooperated closely with CROSCO Ltd. on the reconstruction and modernization of platforms and also with SAIPEM Mediterranean Services, Ltd on the training and specialization of their engineers. Chair has the Laboratory of Sea Technology which organizes for students several-day stays on marine engineering facilities in order to get an insight into all important phases of the complex process of exploration and exploitation of underwater resources.

Na Katedri za osnivanje plovnih objekata i morsku tehniku znanstveni je rad posvećen specijaliziranim i sofisticiranim brodovima i njihovoj optimizaciji. Uložen je velik napor u razvoj morske tehnike za potrebe istraživanja i iskorištavanja podmorja. Ostvarena je dobra suradnja s CROSCO-om d.o.o. na rekonstrukciji i osuvremenjivanju platformi te s tvrtkom SAIPEM Mediterranean Services, Ltd. u izobrazbi i specijalizaciji njihovih inženjera. Katedra ima Laboratorij za tehnologiju mora koji organizira višednevne boravke studenata na objektima morskog inženjerstva, kako bi upoznali sve važnije faze složenih procesa istraživanja i iskorištavanja podmorskih dobara.
