Short summary (English)

The primary basic research interest is surface and interface effects of nanoparticles in the polymer systems on the properties of nanomaterials used as adhesive products. The research group is engaged in development of the new generation of adhesives and sealants based on the selected nanofillers and matrix with the increased interactions at the interface, that will result in the new /improved mechanical and incombustion properties. The group has a strong background in the surface engineering of nanoparticles and matrix, selected production and formulation of polymer composites and blends with the potential application in the adhesive and sealant industry, building and other related industry. The group is currently running a project to develop a new generation of nanoparticles and nanoparticle-based polymer materials that might be potentially used a 'masterbatch' for the preparation of the advanced polymer composites and blends filled with the selected surface active nanoparticles.

Primarni znanstveni interes istraživanja je usmjeren na utjecaje površine i međupovršine nanočestica u polimernim sustavima na svojstva nanomaterijala koji se koriste kao adhezijski proizvodi. aistraživačka grupa je angažirana na razvoju nove generacije adheziva i brtvila koji se baziraju na odabranim nanopunilima i matricama s pojačanim interakcijama na međupovršini, što će rezultirati novim/poboljšanim mehaničkim svojstvima i negorivosti. Grupa ima čvrste podloge u inženjerstvu površina nanočestica, selektivnoj proizvodnji i formuliranju polimernih kompozita i mješavina s potencijalnom primjenom u industriji adheziva i brtvila, građevinskoj i u drugim odgovarajućim industrijama. Grupa trenutno izvodi projekt razvoja nanočestica i nanočesticama punjenih polimernih materijala koji se mogu potencijalno koristiti kao 'masterbatch' za pripravu naprednih polimernih kompozita i mješavina punjenih s odabranim površinski aktivnim nanočesticama.
