The University of Zagreb became the EIT Health Hub for Croatia, joining the\u00a0<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eithealth.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">EIT Health <\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">network of thirteen regional hubs working to strengthen local innovation ecosystems.<br \/>The goals of the EIT Health Hub for Croatia are to:<br \/>Improve innovation capacities in healthcare by participating in the implementation of the EIT RIS program:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><p>Improve innovation capacities in healthcare by participating in the implementation of the EIT RIS programme<\/p><\/li><li><p>Develop a local innovation ecosystem with the help of EIT Health by involving various stakeholders in healthcare programs through an integrated knowledge triangle model.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Find the best talent, entrepreneurs, and startups in our country and region with the help of EIT Health activities<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>EIT Health<\/strong> is the largest network of healthcare organizations and innovations supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and the European Union. It organizes one of the largest European accelerators with more than 20 different programs for students, doctoral scientists, small and medium-sized enterprises, and experts in medical technology, biotechnology, life sciences, and e-health.<\/p><p>EIT Health, a European public-private partnership in healthcare, has established more than 150 partners representing leading European companies, universities, research and development centers, hospitals, and other organizations. The role of this partnership is to build the future healthcare ecosystem that will enable European citizens to live longer and healthier lives.<\/p><p>EIT Health is the largest network of healthcare organizations and innovations supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and the European Union. It organizes one of the largest European accelerators with more than 20 different programs for students, PhDs, small and medium-sized enterprises, and experts in the fields of medical technology, biotechnology, life sciences, and e-health.<\/p><p>EIT Health, a European public-private partnership in the field of health, has established more than 150 partners representing leading European companies, universities, research and development centers, hospitals, and other organizations. The role of this partnership is to build a future health ecosystem that will enable European citizens to have a longer and healthier life. EIT Health upgrades the skills of healthcare professionals throughout Europe by investing in the best European talent and facilitating the commercialization of innovative healthcare products\/solutions within the EU.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/eithealth.eu\/in-your-region\/innostars\/\">The InnoStars Cluster<\/a> is one of the geographical areas of EIT Health. It covers half of Europe, including Poland, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Greece, and Romania. These are a group of countries that the European Innovation Scoreboard (EIS) has qualified as moderate innovators.
