Join us at Health Talks – Encouraging HealthTech Innovation, a conference organized by the British Embassy and the University of Zagreb. The event will take place on 22 January, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, bringing together policymakers, healthcare leaders, innovators, academics, and industry experts from the United Kingdom and Croatia.
The event aims to explore how forward-looking healthcare policies, strong public–private collaboration, and effective innovation ecosystems can accelerate the adoption of health technologies and strengthen public healthcare systems. Through knowledge exchange and international collaboration, Health Talks seeks to translate innovation into tangible benefits for patients and healthcare systems.
The programme features speakers and panellists from national governments, public healthcare systems in both countries, universities, healthcare institutions, the pharmaceutical and medtech/healthtech industries, and innovation hubs. They will share insights into national and regional healthcare policy frameworks, innovation funding mechanisms, NHS (National Health Service)-driven innovation adoption models in the United Kingdom, and real-world examples of implementing healthcare innovations in practice.
Two expert panel discussions will explore:
How to proactively foster and support healthtech innovation within public healthcare systems
Local healthcare innovation policies, funding opportunities, and collaboration between the United Kingdom and Croatia
